LEGACY LIVING

What happens when we let God’s long-range view of life guide our daily attitude and actions?  Future generations can be blessed by our faithfulness.  The truth is: life is a gift, not a given (none of us know when the Lord will call us home) so the choices we make today will determine the legacy we leave tomorrow.   Let’s choose wisely for our sake and theirs.

Deidre Cassidy (Main Speaker)

Living Life in Light of Eternity

Join us as we discuss the connection between the creation mandate and the great commission, get clarification of the gift of salvation and what it means to us, and gain understanding of what the Kingdom of God represents.

Connie Hartman (Main Speaker)

Obedience, the Key to God’s Heart

Obedience to God proves our love for Him. We obey His commands, not because we have to, but because we want to, because we love Him.  Still today, in our human attempts to look good in serving God, we get caught up in the lip service of Christianity, forgetting the fundamental importance of the actions of our faith. There is the temptation to live by our feelings and what we want rather than to truly obey God. Obedience to God is a responsibility. One is either obedient to the Word of God or disobedient.  There is no in between. Obedience, the key to God’s heart requires a change, a commitment; come find out what it is. Then reap the rewards of your obedience to God.

The God Who Sees… Me (Genesis 16)

God knows everything about you: past, present and future. He sees when others misrepresent us (as Hagar was) but He still meets us in our wilderness and allows us to turn to Him when we feel cast aside, forgotten, unseen, vilified.

How do we, when we feel invisible, continue to recognize God in His sovereignty and continue to serve Him? Do we recognize that we matter enough to the Lord in His plan that He will seek after us and shepherd our hearts even when we feel lost, wandering in the desert? How do we serve those around us who take us for granted, who don’t see who God has created us to be, or who don’t value us the way He does?

Investing in an Eternal Legacy: Relationships

Driving scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:18: "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

From Creation in Genesis to the Restoration in Revelation, it is evident that our Triune God is relational.  Through the entirety of Scripture, He has done His greatest work through interaction between people as well as calling us to intimacy with Him.  While our time on Earth is brief, do we consider how we are investing in the lives of others? We take nothing with us to the grave: awards, financial portfolios, jewelry, titles---but indubitably, how we invest our time with the people God puts in our lives now WILL impact our heavenly inheritance and His eternal Kingdom to come.  We will consider the practical ways and spiritual implications of how we can impact family, friends, and strangers for the advancement of the gospel and edification of His Bride, the Church.

Forgiveness: What it is, what it isn’t - and where do I begin?

What is forgiveness, really? Where do I begin? What do I do when the memories are triggered and I’m right back in that painful moment?

There is no self help, 1-2-3 step guide to forgive someone.

Forgiveness is a process, an uneasy one. We can’t do it alone; but in Christ alone, we can.
